Hello!  My name is Jim Dempsey and I'm a Real Estate professional, and Investor, in Central Maryland.  My main areas of business are Howard, Carroll, Anne Arundel, Baltimore, Montgomery, and Frederick Counties, however, I've done business all over the state.  I've built my business based on referrals from clients & friends.  I take great pride in taking care of my clients and being as honest with them as possible.  As a result, my clients refer me to their friends and family, as they know I'll take care of them and they'll be in great hands. 

 

I'm also a real estate investor.  Since 2008 I've been purchasing and renovating homes in the Central Maryland area.  The knowledge I've gained from being an investor is another reason why my clients enjoy working with me.  When I walk into a home I know what to look for in regards to possible issues, concerns, condition of big ticket items (Roof, HVAC, Windows, Siding, Hot Water Heater, Gutters, Landscaping, etc.).  I can also assist with ideas and possibilities for updating / renovating a home, such as which walls could be opened up, ballpark pricing for updates / replacements, immediate repairs needed, etc.  This sort of knowledge is extremely valuable to my clients as they are prepared and know what to expect in regards to possible expenses while moving forward with a new home.  My experience, knowledge, and network of contacts helps set me apart from other Realtors.

I grew up in Howard County (Columbia, MD) and graduated from Wilde Lake High School, where I played Football and Lacrosse.  Afterwards, I attended West Chester University in Pennsylvania, where I played football and earned my Bachelor's of Science degree in Marketing.  I currently reside in Ellicott City, MD with my wife Kathryn, our 3 children, Logan 12, Landon 9, and Remi 4, and our 2 dogs, Lady & Rocco.  When I'm not working, you can find me at the sports fields with my boys playing lacrosse and soccer, or running Remi around to dance and gymnastics.
